Jump to the Eori Roles
There are 15 roles for each culture. Each role has a
short description detailing what the role is about. Some
are more specific than others. After the description are
the rules for the role. Each one has a level of the
character of that role, and any restrictions. For example,
a clerical role needs to have some levels in Cleric, or it
simply doesn't fit the role.
You are allowed to multiclass as much as you want between
classes, as per the rules in the Player's Handbook.
As long as the character fits the role, and any
restrictions, it can be multiclassed with any classes
allowed to the culture. Any prestige classes you wish to
take for your character must first be cleared by the DM.
There are many prestige classes that do not fit the
campaign setting.
Some roles describe posistions where feats like Leadership
would be best taken (like a general, or a leader of an
organization). Although you don't have to take the feat,
you will be granted the full amount of loyal followers and
cohorts described by the feat. Any bonuses for good
treatment of followers will be decided by the DM based on
your characters background.
Each character must be run by the DM to ensure that they
are adhering to the culture and the role.
It is advised that you chose your top three roles. Send
them in to the DM. The DM will sort through the choices,
and ensure that there are no duplicate choices. If there is
a duplicate choice between two people, they are both denied
the role, and the second choices are then given to the
players (unless they too are duplicates). If player 1's
second of third choice is the same as player 2's first
choice, player 1's second choice is denied, player 2's
choice remains theirs. If players have the same second
choices, they are both denied. If all three of a players
choices are denied, they will be contacted and asked to
make three new choices. Hopefully this will not happen, as
there are 30 choices, and 5-6 players.
If you desire, and have the time, you may pick more than
one role to play.
It is strongly suggested that the players keep their role
choices to themselves. This campaign will work better if
the players do not know who is who. Some of these roles
will become NPCs and may indirectly interact with your
character. Please, keep your character to yourself.
The roles are in no particular order.
