OpenRPG Resources
There are a lot of different places one can go to find files, miniatures and map enhancers for OpenRPG. Some are good, and some are bad. This is an attempt to put together what I think are the good resources.
Installation on a Mac (OSX)It took me a few days to get OpenRPG to run on my computer the first time I got it. I had to read the messgae boards for a long time to figure out what to do. When I finally got it working, I organized my own step by step walk through based on what everyone said on the messgae boards. I would like to thank MidnightLightning and Celebrog for the information found here on this topic. I simply organized what they did, I am not suggesting I came up with this. I am simply passing on the information they gave.
TutorialOpenRPG can be a little much when you first open it. In all honesty, it took me a while to get used to it. But, the program is actually very very useful to both DM's and Players. The site that taught me how to install OpenRPG has since died with Geocities being lost. Nevertheless, my thanks go out to danjnm2002.
Miniatures

What would an OpenRPG session be without miniatures? Not
much. There are various places to find small GIFs of
fantasy creatures, items and monsters. In my opinion, this
is the best site. It doesn't have everything under the
suns, but it has enough to get your game going.
http://dnd.castellan.net/mini/
This site has the majority of the mini's I have seen on the
web, specifically made for OpenRPG. However, this is from
an .ftp site, so we are unable to see what the .gifs look
like unless you click on them. It can be a bit time
consuming, but there is a bit of everything, and some
things other sites do not have. If you are looking for a
quick mini, and know what you want, I suggest you go to the
side above this one. Otherwise, if you are just looking,
look here.
Although you could, in essence, play OpenRPG with a sheet of paper, and type in what check you are making, some people find it easier to input all theur stats into OpenRPG, and make quick rolls that look something like this: "shifter: Skills: Spot [1d20+2] -> [10,2] = 12" making it very easy for people to see what is going on. Anyway, there are an amzingly huge variety of character sheets out there for OpenRPG. I haven't gone through very many of them, just enough to know they will take a while to fill out, but they are rather useful. Of course, these are all good, but maybe one of us can make one better?

This site contains 8 different PC Sheets (all named
PCSheet*.xml), as well as a variety of home made
characters, sheets and monster stats. It is a very valuable
site for inspiration or resources.
