Hongryudong National ParkIn order for us to process your application to teach in Korea, we will need the following documents.

Cover Letter
This should be a one page letter, addressed to the "Education Director", stating your desire and enthusiasm to live and teach in Korea. The cover letter is for your future employer to learn more about you, so you should present yourself in the best possible light. You might want to include you reason for wanting to live in Korea, such as the opportunity for a cross-cultural experience, or a desire to learn the Korean language. Stress any special academic achievements you earned in High School or University. Also include any experience teaching or experience working with children. Also indicate the dates you are available to begin your teaching contract.

Resume
You will need to send us a copy of your current resume. Your resume should stress your academic achievements and related teaching experience. There is no need to list every part-time job that you have ever held, as these will be of little use in securing a contract. Please print it on a good quality, white paper and mail it, unfolded, in a business envelope. Include your permanent address, phone number and fax number, if available.

Photographs
You will need to send us four passport-sized photographs. Please ensure that they are a good likeness of yourself. Ensure that you look neat and professional, as appearance counts for a lot with your prospective employer. Photographs you send will also be used at the Airport to pick you up.

Notarized Degree
You will need to provide official copy of your degree which must be stamped by the Korean Consulate. there is a $4.20 charge to have your degree stamped by the Korean Consulate in Toronto. There is no charge for stamping a copy of your degree at a Korean Consulate in the United States. You may also send your original degree by courier and include the relevant fees along with a return courier envelope directly to the Consulate. J & J Connect can also assist you by processing your official copies for you.

Transcripts
Have the university you graduated from send us an official copy of your transcript. These documents are needed by the Korean Immigration Authority to verify your degree. (Don't worry too much about your marks!)

Two Photocopies of Your Passport
The photocopies should be of pages 2-3 of a Canadian Passport, or the inside cover of an American Passport. Make sure that you still have a couple of years left on your passport or it might expire while you are in Korea.

Letters of Reference
If you can include any letters of reference stressing teaching experience, it can work to your advantage. If you know any Koreans who would be willing to write a letter of reference on your behalf, in Korean, it would also be highly beneficial to your chances of securing a contract.
