Welcome to Radio Control Flying

Generally the model Airplanes fly on the same principles as the real ones do. The difference is that you control them through radio waves via a Radio Control equipment. The receiver portion and some other equipment is in the airplane itself and the transmitter is in your hands on the ground. The transmitter sends the signals to the receiver which eventually moves the control systems of the airplane making it possible for the Pilot to control the Aircraft. The other difference is that they are alot more difficult to fly as they seem to be. One can think that it is a toy, but it isn't. You need alot of skills and patience to learn how to fly an RC Airplane.

Any ways the basic things you need to get into this hobby are An Airplane of course, A radio Control, An Engine to power the plane, some field accessories, a field to fly on and MAAC Insurance.
