Reincarnation/Karma

Most every religion has some sort of belief in the soul and what happens to that soul after the physical body dies. After death though, there seems to be two distinct trains of thought as to what happens to your 'soul'.

The first being that your soul stays in the afterlife and you are either punished or rewarded based on the life that you lived. Live a bad, mostly evil life. . . and you're screwed and doomed to live your afterlife(which is usually an eternity) in the worst possible way. Living a good life is more richly rewarded, whereby your afterlife will be full of nothing but the best that you can ever feel.

The other train of thought is that when your physical body is nothing more then a 'host' or a 'coat' for your soul. When you die, you go to wherever it is that you believe you'll go to and you'll go over your entire life. There's no way to know how long this process can/will take, so we'll say that since you're going over a lifetime of experiences, it might take a lifetime. After this process is over with, you'll then select a new life to lead. . and start the whole born/life/death thing all over again. You'll keep repeating this until you 'perfect' your soul.
