Reincarnation(A Ryll View)To understand reincarnation we first need to have some sort of understanding about WHY we reincarnate. I believe that in our Highest Spiritual state of being we (our Spirit/Soul) exists in a state that we could call perfection and that as a physical being we have forgotten how to be in constant touch with that same ability. Then we can see that the problem with being in a perfect state there is no room for growth and expansion, that only through experience in a state of imperfection can we truly expand upon who we are. Therefore, we make the choice to live in other states of being, in this case as a physical human being, for other lifetimes it may have been as an extra terrestrial or for some belief systems and animal. To our mortal perception, these states of being are perceived of as lifetimes. Before we are born into our current body and situation, we tend to organize a life to include experiences that help us to grow and understand others and ourselves better. This part is sometimes really hard to grasp because we think that with so many 'bad' things happening we could not possible have chosen to experience that situation. This is often because with a limited perception of just one lifetime, it is easy to get caught up in how negative some experiences may seem. In truth ALL experiences help us to grow and understand both who we are as individuals and the people around us. Sometimes, we miss the goal of a particular experience, either because we ourselves have missed them or other people may have influenced our life path in a way we may not have chosen. As a result we sometimes have to repeat lives to repeat the understanding we would gain for ourselves (our Spirit). For example: In a situation that has been on some of the message boards - Those of us who do not follow Western Christian Religion, whether Islamic, Jewish, Wiccan, Buddhist, Hindi, of the Old Religion, Pagan whatever, can be subjected to prejudice and insult for our beliefs and practices. (And before anyone takes this out of context it can happen to any minority group at any given time, this is an example) People can be extremely hurtful in what they say and do toward another who is 'different' from them! The experiencing of this hurt and prejudice tests your faith in your beliefs, does it not? Without the 'bad stuff' happening you would not know how strong your beliefs are - do you continue or do you give in to the majority because majority rules? If your beliefs are strong and based in your own truth, you will continue to practice them; if not you may choose to put them aside and return to 'the fold'. Personally, I find reincarnation to be the only explanation for so many of the things that I have experienced and for many of the experiences of others. ~Ryll
