Response:At night, when all is still and quiet. The best was when I was first able to actually get to a meditative state without falling asleep! I got so excited though that I lost it. It was the best though because after that I knew I could do it and it really boosted my confidence.

Response:My clearest meditation was both good and bad. I always meditate right before I go to sleep. Something about the night makes the unconscious more accessible to me. I was following the head priestess of an egyptian procession. I impulsively ran up to her and hugged her, and she immediately hugged me back. She told me I needed to be purified, and took me to an underground chamber where she laid me on a stone platform and covered my body with purifying mud. Then suddenly, I saw a sarcophagus open in my other mind's eye- many other sarcophagi opened within it, and a black cat woman figure was inside. She broke the leather bounds that bound her into the tomb and turned into a void that suddenly began sucking me in. Wailing moans of suffering souls surrounded the tunnel that was beneath her body. I could feel a primal energy being unleashed. I decided I didn't like my meditation so I opened my eyes and tried to return to the scene with the purification, but when I did the cat woman diety was chasing my and my priestess. The lady I was with couldn't fight her, so she grabbed me and we both ran down a dark tunnel covered with hieroglyphs. The only thing my guide could do was turn around every once in a while and emit a burst of fire from her hands, which would slow down our chaser momentarily. I stopped meditating, finding it disturbing, but a very unpleasant occurrence awaited me in my sleep- let's just say demons. I feel a new urgency to grow in light with the goddess now; I've made some unintentional enemies.

Response:I generally mediatate after dark. I guess this comes from years of meditating to get to sleep. Everything seems to slow down for me after the sun sets. The best experience I've ever had meditating was the time when I was about 15 and unwittingly pushed myself out of myself, for the most part. I had been experimenting with astral projection while meditating and the night I gave up, was the night I almost did it. I got my self out of my body, except for my head. Here I was, everything floating just above my physical body and I could see it with, I'm guessing my third eye, and it felt amazingly free. I could not convince my body to let me go and eventually dropped back in. What amazed me the most is what it felt like being "out". It felt as though, and this is the only way I can explain it, I had just taken off a shoe that was too small. It was easily the best and worst experience I've ever had while meditating.
