Jonathan's Random Meditation Tip #2Breathing, The Old Testiment of the Christian Bible says that the Jewish nomads had a name for their supposed "God". Its name whas YHWH. No, there's no typing error, they named "It" YHWH. What on earth is that? In Thomas Cahill's book: "The Gifts of the Jews" pondered that very question. Some, the book says, have tried to put the leters YHWH into a meaningful name, and have come up with something that sounds like "Yha-way". Cahill felt this as a foolish attempt, and offered this theory (which I can now agree with): YHWH cannot be so much "said" but rather "lived". Allow me to explain: When we breath deeply, the way a Yogi would, we get a sort of sound: YhhhhhhWhhhhhhh. See where Cahill is going with this? The very breath of every animal is, perhaps, a connection with YHWH, a connection with God. So the next time you meditate on your breath, it seems more worth while. It centers you, and, perhaps, connects you with the creator. ~Jonathan
