Pre-Meditation Relaxation Exercise

ALL meditations require you to be able to fully relax the entire body. Every single muscle must be completely and utterly relaxed, or you'll be fighting yourself through the entire meditation.

One is called "Progressive Relaxation"
You lie down or just sit comfortably. And starting at your feet, visualize the stress leaving them in a way that is comfortable to you. The move to your calfs, then your thighs and so forth moving up the body until you are completely relaxed. You may have to do it a few times. . . taking about 10 minutes or however long it takes.

Another is just focused breathing.
Just focus on your breathing, breath deeply in for a count of about 10 and breath out 2x what you breathed in. So in 10, out 20. Repeat that how many times it takes to completely relax. 10 minutes is about average.
