Passive MeditationFirst, find a spot where you won't be disturbed. That includes by people, by phones, by any loud noises. Sit or lie down, whichever is more comfortable for you. Just remember that it's much easier to fall asleep while lying down. Close your eyes, and breath in deeply for a count of 5, then breath out for a count of 10. Repeat this as many times as necessary until you're relaxed. While in that relaxed state, visualize an object within your mind. That means that you want to picture this object as clearly as if you were looking at it with your eyes. You want to see, feel, and hear any sounds it makes. All within your mind. Keep this image in your mind for as long as you can hold it for. This is called passive meditation. I feel this is the best form for beginners to use. ~Xanth
