Ocean Meditation

I am sitting by the ocean, on the white sand of southern Perth(Australia). The world is timeless and ageless. Behind me are tall, stately karri trees and little undergrowth (karri trees undergrowth mainly consist of ancient ferns and cycads, as well as lots and lots of caves. heh). In front of me the ocean stretches away to a warming, setting sun. I can see the dives and breaches of migrating pods of humpbacks, and the occasional flip of a bottlenosed dolphin. Overhead an albatross soars, stately and grand, and around it are smaller storm petrels, the grey battleships of the sea.

The wind is playing with me, and I am touched by fire, I sit on and around earth, I am cradled by it, and water seeps through to touch my fingertips which are in the sand, and suddenly the stillness gives way to a need to be moving.

So I stand, and start running, the wind blowing behind me, whipping around me. My bare feet are splashing into the foamy water. And I'm running faster, and faster, and then somehow everything around me becomes fluid and suddenly I'm riding a horse bareback, a complete sense of balance with everything around me, and an intuitive and soul-mate connection with the horse. To my right is the ocean, to my left is old growth karri forest. And I ride the horse until the energy flies out of me into everything around me, including the horse, and I slow down and unmount and then I stand with the horse and watch the sun set, and we walk until I decide to pull out of the visualisation.

A variation is if I'm running and I look to the left and I see a red horse keeping pace with me. I rarely ride this horse, and it's definitely a He. Though that's just a sense I get. Lol. I see gleams of him in the green of the forest.

This meditation was originally a dream I once had, but I made it into a visualisation because it made me feel so good. Normally the horse is black, but occasionally it is the most beautiful golden/red colour that reminds me of the beginnings of warmth, fire and copper. I suppose the direction I would be running would be South-West. It's always that direction.

I never interpreted the dream originally, both versions. The one where I was riding the black horse, or the one where I was keeping pace with the red/gold one. I always found it interesting that it was a black horse I rode, and a red gold one that I could see, but rarely rode.
