OBEs and Astral Projection

Both terms refer to the ability to remove your spirit from the confines of your physical body and move around freely and completely consciously. Basically, your spirit is able to leave your body and travel to other places.

One constant question that comes up from beginners is what's the difference between "Astral Projection"(AP) and "Out of Body Experiences"(OBE)?
Basically, from my studies the only difference lies in where you are when you leave your body. Astral Projection refers to being on the Astral Plane. Which in a nutshell is just another plane of existance much like the physical plane which you find yourself on right now.
Out of Body Experiences refer simply to leaving your body, but still being on the physical plane.

But as for what can cause them can be two seperate things. Astral Projections tend to be more deliberate. The 'traveller' usually intends to leave their body. While in OBEs can be deliberate, there are some which are brought on by accidents, or a sudden shock to your system which can shoot you out of your body.

Either way, APs and OBEs are very good for growing as a person and spiritually.
