Chadwick Boats

This page contains a selection of pictures documenting the build of our Mini Max.

Mini Max SeaFlea

This was our first attempt a boat building. the plans for the Mini Max are from a 1950's era issue of Popular Mechanics and pdf format versions of the plans are available here: PLANS.

The boat is powered by a Mercury 9.9 2 stroke and provides more than enough power. One caution I would make is to add the motor mount board to the boat in such a way as it can be adjusted. I found the original angle I used to mount the motor board, in combination with my motor does not provide enought "in" trim to prevent bouncing with a heavier load as speed increases. I used stainless carriage bolts drilled through the transom and the motor mount board. The angle can be adjusted by replacing the wedges used between the transom and the mortor mount.
