Recently, I got a 64C which is in really good shape, and I want to keep it that way. I found that I was flipping the power off and on repeatedly as I went through all the programs on the disks that the system came with. Worried about the wear and tear on the switch, I installed a reset button.
I followed Ray Carlsen's excellent instructions at http://personalpages.tds.net/~rcarlsen/cbm/reset64.txt rather than install it into a cartridge etc, so that it will work with any add-ons to the 64C. I also made a few slight changes to Ray's approach:

The 100 ohm resistor and the button itself were tucked into the little niche at the top/right of the case. This is handy while still out of the way so it doesn't get pressed accidentally.

Finished!
