Dear Joan:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the effort and
dedication you have shown during your employment with the Ministry of
Environment and Energy this summer.
Dealing with environment and energy issues is an invigorating challenge
for all of us, both as individuals and collectively. Your efforts have
helped the Ministry to meet its summer objectives and helped us to
protect and enhance one of the province's most valuable assets.
I trust that your experience with the Ministry has led to a greater
understanding of the issues we deal with and at the same time has given
you a sense of the value of the work performed by Ministry staff.
I would appreciate it if you would take a moment to reflect on your
summer and write to me, sharing some of your thoughts on your
