The Future of Natural Gas
Scientists and engineers are finding new and better ways of producing and working with Alternative Energy. They are developing ways to cut waste. Clean energy sources are available for environmnetally friendly transportation. If we are to sustain our children's future, we must develop alternative energy vehicles and educate the public on their capabilities. Over 500 million internal combustion vehicles are in use in the world, with 160 million in the United States. Each year, 50 million new cars and trucks are sold worldwide, with about 12 million of those sold in the United States. Growing concern over air pollution is causing governmental agencies worldwide to seek methods to reduce automobile emissions. The only zero emission vehicle (ZEV) that is technologically feasible today is the electric vehicle (EV). They are working on other Alternative Energy Sources. Despite aggressive lobbying by large auto manufacturers and the oil companies, market studies have shown that the general public wants the electric car to become commercialized.
