(This certificate does not allow you to work in the United States. It is the requirement to do residency training in the United States.)

What qualifications do I need?

Be a graduate in medicine form a medical school listed by the World Health Organization (minimum four year program) - the USMLE Information Booklet lists the required degree or diploma from each country

What exams do I need to write?

United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) Step 1 . Basic Science - USMLE Step 2 . Clinical Science - Clinical Skills Assessment: Oral Exam - USMLE Step 3 . Licensing Exam
 
What are the residency/immigration requirements?

You must be able to satisfy the registrar that you are legally able to work in the US

What are the language requirements?

Pass TOEFL

How much does it all cost?

USMLE Step 1 $ 510 US

Clincial Skills Assessment $ 1200 US
USMLE Step 3 $ 575 US
TOEFL $ 125 US
