William began his career in art at an early age, and studied with greats such as William Stidsworthy, Alan Collier, Franklin Arbuckle and Jack Reid. An honours graduate from the Ontario College of Art, William became a successful commercial artist, and went on to teach art. His work is lively, bright and covers a wide variety of subjects, including: landscapes, still life, portraits, buildings, interiors, equine art, classic automobiles and Victorian homes. He works mainly in watercolour, but also in pencil, ink, pastel and oil.
